Fort Washington State Park Camping Trip

This weekend, Troop 3 went camping at Fort Washington State Park. The plan was to go hiking and complete the Orienteering Course here at the park, however Mother Nature had other plans. The Wissahickon Creek was too high for our planned hike to be completed safely, so we decided to spend some time at Valley Forge National Park instead. Scouts spent some time in the Visitor’s Center learning about the Revolutionary War and the battles fought at Valley Forge. And of course, we had to have ice cream, because ice cream is important.

We returned to camp in time for dinner and a campfire.
