Our Scouts decided to try something new this month, and took on Horsemanship Merit Badge. Emily taught all of the background skills during our meetings. Then Troop 3 camped at Voorhees State Park in NJ and went horseback riding at La Finca at Silver Bit & Spur Farm.
Ray & Jen from La Finca took our scouts on a trail ride and reviewed all of the skills that required interacting with the horses. The trip was a huge success and our scouts can’t wait for the next time they can be on horseback.
