Ockanickon Scout Reservation – Summer Camp 2025

We just got back from an amazing week at Ockanickon Scout Reservation. We love going during week 1 because it’s not as busy since it’s early in the season. This year things were a bit weird though … It’s summer camp and we needed cold-weather gear because it was in the low 50s every night! It felt more like October than June, and we’re here for it!

Our friends from Connecticut joined us again this year, and this time they were official. They are both dual registered and on our charter as well as that of their troop back home.

For our troop, this week was bitter sweet because for four of our scouts it is their last summer camp as a youth.

In addition to all of the camp traditions, merit badges, theme days, and game nights we also got to celebrate two birthdays at camp – Anthony’s 17th and Liam’s 18th! Happy Birthday, guys!

Favorite activities this year included Welding Merit Badge, open climbing, stand up paddle boarding, and everything in the Arts Department.

Staff members Daniel and Seamus are Eagle Scouts from Troop 3, so they were invited to join us on the office parade field for troop photos.
