Scout Sunday is the day when our Scouts say THANK YOU to Morrisville Presbyterian Church for being our Chartered Organization. Our Scouts attend church services and host fellowship afterwards. Our Cub Scouts have their annual Bake Sale. And then, in the evening, all of our Scouts get together to celebrate Scouting and their accomplishments over the past year.
This year, Cub Scout Pack 3 joined us, and it was a wonderful opportunity for the younger scouts to see what their Scouting future could include.
In addition to recognizing all of the merit badges that were earned, Troop 3 presents four special awards.
- Thomas T Pursell Memorial Award “Honor Camper” awarded to Emily Huston
- Alfred O Redland Memorial Award for “Most Advancement” awarded to Wyatt Newill
- Robert B Patterson Memorial Award for “Scout Spirit” awarded to Liam Sheridan
- Charles T Burgess Award for exemplary service from a committee member awarded to Connor Scholl
- William Burgess Jr Founding Father of Troop 3 Scoutmaster Award was awarded to Chris Newill
